Are you struggling with…
You have dentures but they are loose and make it difficult to chew?

You’ve lost a few teeth over time and it’s becoming difficult to chew?

You’re embarrassed to smile?
Maybe it’s the missing or broken teeth, maybe it’s their color, or maybe it’s their shape – but something gives you pause when the person behind the camera says “Cheese!”

Dental Implant FAQs
What is a Dental Implant?
Why are Dental Implants the Best Solution for Missing Teeth?
A dental implant allows you to chew just like you would with a natural tooth. Unlike a denture, it is permanently attached to your jawbone and will not slide or move around. It doesn’t rub on your gums or cause any discomfort.
Ever heard the phrase “Use it or lose it?” Dental implants will keep the bone in that area of the jaw from atrophy. Dental implants help maintain face shape and prevent a “sunken face” caused by bone loss over time. The implant will prevent surrounding teeth from shifting and help maintain a stable bite.
What is Same Day Smile (All-on-4 Dental Implants)?
This implant protocol — the “All-on-4” surgical dental implant — is truly revolutionary in that it allows for an entire mouth of teeth to be replaced in as little as one surgery.
Benefits:
- The quickest way to chew and smile again. Leave the same day of surgery with your new teeth!
- Predictable minimally invasive surgery using CBCT scans for guided surgical implant placement.
- Easy to care for. No taking dentures out to soak each night.
- Chew as you would with natural teeth again! Order what you want off the menu! No more avoiding your favorite foods like juicy steaks, fresh bread, or corn on the cob.
- No denture glue.
- No more plastic covering the roof of your mouth.
- Feel great about the way your smile looks in the mirror and photos.
- Stop worrying about what you look like when your teeth come out.
The “All-on-4” dental implant protocol is a technically demanding surgery. Dr. Sherberg has advanced dental implant training as part of his comprehensive training across all dental specialties. Over the past 16 years, he’s gained extensive experience in the nuances of the surgical and restorative aspects of this procedure. Given his expertise across all specialties of dentistry, this is one of many “tools” in his toolbox to restore smiles. He has helped hundreds of people who hated their dentures or simply wanted to chew and smile again with Same Day Smile All-on-4 Dental Implant Surgery.
What is an Implant Supported Snap-in Denture?
Are Dental Implants Easy to Clean?
Yes! You should brush, floss, and care for single dental implants just like you would your natural teeth. A soft-bristled toothbrush with non-abrasive toothpaste is recommended.
Cleaning Implant-Supported Snap-in Dentures is also easy, but different from single-tooth dental implants. We recommend soaking them overnight in a denture solution. A denture brush can be used to gently brush the underside of your overdentures.
Cleaning Same Day Smile (All-on-4 Dental Implants) is similar to cleaning single implants. A soft-bristled toothbrush with non-abrasive toothpaste is recommended. In addition, a water flosser makes it easy to remove food debris around the gum line.
What Materials Are Used for Dental Implants?
Dental implants serve as the root of your tooth and are made from titanium. The tooth placed on top of the implant is made of the strongest material available: zirconia. Dr. Sherberg’s advanced training allows him access to one of the best dental labs in the country that uses only the highest quality materials available.
How Long Do Dental Implants Last?
A well-placed and well-maintained dental implant has a 90% chance of success after 20+ years – meaning you can chew with it, and it looks and feels like a regular tooth 20+ years after the date it was placed. The rate of success depends on the dentist’s skill (being well-placed) and the patient’s oral hygiene (being well-maintained). Our success rate at Bayway Dental is greater than 97%.
Am I Too Old for Dental Implants?
Clinically, you are never too old to receive a dental implant because health is more of a factor than age. Our oldest implant patient is 92 years old. Implants offer significantly improved chewing function, which is appealing to all ages who want to eat the foods they like!
Do You Guarantee I Will Love My Dental Implants?
Yes, 100%
Dr. Sherberg uses sophisticated technology that is superior because it minimizes procedure time, is less invasive than traditional techniques, and results in quicker healing time.
Dr. Sherberg utilizes 3-D printing and guided implant surgery. A 3D ConeBeam CT scan allows him to plan exactly where the implant will be placed well in advance of your surgery day. This planning enables him to model and fabricate the fixed bridge in advance as well, ensuring a beautiful aesthetic result!
Less than 5% of implants placed in the U.S. utilize this guided implant technology – but Dr. Sherberg believes it’s such an improvement over traditional implant surgery he provides this protocol for all his implant surgeries.
