Meet Dr. David Sherberg

Dr. David Sherberg

Dr. David Sherberg, a resident of southern St. Petersburg, is focused on providing exceptional dentistry that focuses on prevention. He readily acknowledges that most of his patients would rather not be sitting in his dental chair, so he takes the time to get to know each one, happily discussing how future dental procedures may be avoided.

Dr. Sherberg founded Bayway Dental in 2014 to fulfill his dream of bringing excellent customer service with a personal touch to dentistry. He hopes to help patients realize that a dental visit can be a pleasant, comfortable experience. Each patient is given plenty of time with him to answer any questions. Dr. Sherberg is never in a hurry, and his goal is to make your visit as relaxing as possible.

Dr. Sherberg is a proud father of two energetic young boys. When he is not playing with his boys, he enjoys watching football (go Pats!) and intense beach relaxation. He feels fortunate to live next to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Maybe someday soon he will pick up a fishing pole and see what the buzz is all about. For now, though, he’s content to buy his fish at the Maximo Seafood Shack down the road.

Dr. Sherberg is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He opted to continue his education with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. An avid researcher, Dr. Sherberg is committed to and enjoys furthering his dental education; he is always up to date in the latest dental procedures and technologies. Diligence, consistency, and integrity define him and these are character traits readily acknowledged and appreciated by his friends and coworkers. Dr. Sherberg is a member of the American Dental Association, Pinellas County Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

About Bayway Dental

We know that it’s not easy to fit quality dental care into your schedule and budget, so we’ve designed our practice to make your visits as convenient and affordable as possible.

Children Welcome

Children Welcome

We encourage our younger patients to become active participants in their oral health. We know that childrens’ experiences at our office will shape the way they view dental care for many years to come, so we strive to make each visit fun and easy for them!

Same-Day Emergencies

When you have a dental emergency like a chipped tooth or a broken filling, it can be difficult to wait even a day for a dental appointment. We reserve openings in our daily schedule to accommodate dental emergencies, and we will do everything in our power to see you the same day you call.

Family Block Appointments

Family Block Appointments

Block appointments are great for bigger families because they let multiple patients come in at the same time or back-to-back. Make just one trip to our office and save some time in your busy day.

No Insurance? No Problem.

In addition to accepting most dental insurances, we have an exclusive offer for new patients effective August 1, 2016. For patients without insurance, we are currently accepting applications into our Dental $avings Plan which provides significant savings on dental procedures. We offer flexible payment options and will work with you to come up with financing that you are comfortable with. Click here to learn more.

Advanced Technology

  • We incorporate digital X-rays into all of our routine exams, because many serious issues with the teeth and jawbones can’t be seen by the naked eye. Digital X-rays emit significantly less radiation than conventional X-rays and use smooth digital sensors instead of sharp X-ray film. Because digital X-rays don’t require lengthy chemical processing, the images are available on our computer screen within seconds.

  • Digital photographs taken with our intraoral cameras give us a clearer view of areas that can be difficult to see, like the back molars. They’re also vital patient education tools that let you see exactly what we see in your mouth.

  • The revolutionary Isolite® mouthpiece shields your tongue and cheek during treatment, and it also lets you rest your jaw while we work. Isolite even has a self-aspirating mechanism that make cotton rolls and rinse breaks a thing of the past.
